Under no deal, yes but it depends too on what deals we strike with EU countries regarding our animals - we may end up in a different category. We may just have to do rabies and the vet 10 days before thing. We will see what happens hey? But we can still travel with our pets and they don't have to go into quarantine like the old days.

Obviously it was easier before but it's not impossible so you're wrong there with your statement!! When things change, we adapt!

The current negotiating mandate means no deal is the only option.

And if I wanted to pop over to France for a long weekend 2 weeks ahead, I wouldnt be able to.

If I was being pedantic I could say I didnt qualify under what circumstances I stated travel would not be possible

But I agree, I should have qualified my statement.

Well, you can pop over as much as you like until next Jan.

Fact remains is that we've always been able to travel with our pets. The rules have changed over the years. Pet passports made everything so much easier, and being in the EU even more so.

I don't disagree that it was easier being in the EU with our pets (and everything else). Just means if we want to go on holiday with our pets we just have to be more organised. We adapt, simple!

So technically, your statement was wrong then.
Stop trying to tell us what is going to happen after January 2020 until January 2020. You have absolutely no idea and neither does anyone else at the moment as NOTHING has been agreed.

Technically my statement was correct.

I didnt qualify in what circumstances, so you cant assume I meant all.

I used to go to France with my dog, but even that wont be possible now.
Come on Notch, what you wrote is pretty clear and it was an incorrect statement. You didn't write further to explain so it was taken on face value.

yes I accept that was wrong if taken to mean in all circumstances, I did say so above.....lets remember its posting on a forum, we dont bother to write chapter and verse on every detail, its a short sentence, I consider elaborating at the time but couldnt be bothered -so happy admit to being wrong on that -but only in the sense that I didnt qualify what I posted.

for me personally the lack of freedom to go to France with my dog easily is a big negative.
It could be expensive, maybe £100-£200

What did you think you were voting for when you voted us in in the first place? Did you get just that?

Jan 01/ 2021 is the day we forego all the benefits of the EU. It's just a slow train crash till then.

We are currently still enjoying all the benefits as if we were still a member, mottie. Have a google if you don't believe me.
