This drain is full of water. How do I unblock it? Wet/dry vac?

Think we need to know more about where the water drains to... the public sewerage system? A soakaway?

If it goes to a soakaway as my drainpipe does then the sheer amount of rain we've had recently did temporarily fill the pipes with water. I came to it two days later (after very little rain) and it had subsided naturally into the water table.

Do these photos make it any clearer if it goes to a soak away

Agree with this if it does indeed connect to the public sewer. Only way of knowing for sure is by doing some exploration -- bending rod into the drain, camera, plans from the house showing water connections? Statistically most surface water drains into the public sewer so take a look to see if the pipes are marked on the deeds.

The water from the bathroom and kitchen at my house go into the sewer, but the water from the gutters goes into the soakaway at the front of the house under the drive so it is a possibility.

Or open a manhole down stream and chuck a bucket of water down the drain. You should see a surge a few seconds later. It looks like there may be a manhole at the end of the drive? If so it's a quick and easy test.

Opened manhole and poured water down drain below downpipe. The water level dropped incredibly slowly if at all. Saw no water go

into manhole. These no pipe either running into manhole from direction of drain either

its curious, your manhole shows the drainage running at right angles to the driveway - typically, the manhole benching drain would be accepting drainage directly or through an inlet on the m/h side wall - you dont have an inlet.
i'm wondering if your gullies are tied into the street gullies drainage?
walk down the street and look down any kerb gullies - look for blockages.
i cant see your soil pipe but is there another manhole accepting soil water from a soil pipe?

anyway, either you have a go at rodding into the manhole outlet/inlet in both directions or you get a local plumber clear the blockage? dont under any circumstances, use a national rooter kind of outfit.
you could remove the gulley grids (the waste gulley grid needs replacing) and, using gloves or gauntlets, reach into the gullies and clear any debris from their traps.

edit: i've just noticed your text at the bottom of your last post.

Are any other drains backed up?

Is the drain on an extension by any chance? If it's been done recently then the odds of it being on a soakaway are higher.

fwiw: no foxhole, water proof gloves are a necessity - acidic condensate can be seen going into the waste gulley.

This is at my parent's house. My dad who had a stroke told me about a drain ( where arrow is in picture) . Is this where the water should flow? It's in middle of drive to left of car. Should I indo the screws and lift this up?

the condensate is in the kitchen drain, not the one that’s blocked .

Is the front drain connected to the kitchen drain?
Does the kitchen drain - drain properly?

Just get ya marigolds on and feel down the blocked one, siphon some water out first.
