Hi All

I am looking to remove a tap that is in an old shed.

It would appear the pipe work is 3/4 inch plastic (like mdpe, but older?!?).

The best place to blank it is at a T Under the shed floor, the other flow pipe going to an outside tap that I want to keep.

I have been looking for either a 3/4 to 3/4 90 degree bend, or a 3/4 stop end - but I am struggling as all I can find is adaptors to get to 15/22mm.

I have considered getting an adaptor, then a small amount of copper pipe, then a 15mm stop end - but this seems like a crappy bodge and there isnt a huge amount of room in the area under the floor.

Can anyone point me in a direction where I can get either a 3/4 Brass Stop End, or a 3/4 Brass 90? Or am I missing something obvious?

I've tried a 22mm stop end, and its too big.

Cheers in advance

What colour is the pipe? Black Alkathene was widely used at one point, should be able to get fittings and insets still for this.

If it is Black Alkathene, a small length of 15mm copper pipe would fit internally as a pipe insert, apparently.

Hi

Alkathene is a new one on me - will do some searching!! Its certainly black, and i am 99.9% certain its imperial. My rough measurement is an OD of 20mm ish (measured with a tape so not particularly accurate)

Any idea where I can find the fittings? Everything I find is either MDPE or a conversion to metric. An elbow would solve all the problems!

Hi All

Thanks for all your help. Managed to get some 3/4 olives to use with 22mm fittings.

Problem solved!
