I have some Plane trees to trim, that I've neglected for a few years. I need something that can go 2.5m and manage branches about 3-4 1/2 inches

Can anyone recommend a good Pole chain saw. I'm looking at electric rather than petrol as the budget is around 100-200.

At the moment the only place selling is argos and amazon.

Or is this too cheap for petrol

I know that you must have your reasons for posting as you did, but with respect have you considered doing it by hand? 2.5m is within easy reach of a typical adult stood on a soap box reaching up with a 36" (bow) saw and some WD-40...

I've got the florabest from Lidl. Really nice piece of kit. Very easy to use and cuts well. Not sure when they will next be in store as its one of their random stuff in the middle items. Probably available online though. £100 including battery and charger.

I’ve actually climbed 2 of the trees to have a go with a pruning saw but it will take forever doing it this way. For some of the branches I will be using a ladder as well as the reach. I haven’t trimmed these trees properly for about 5 years. So they are quite out of control now.

A ladder polesaw combination isn't a good choice imo, one can't risk any injury these days when one needing hospital treatment could be a possible death sentence .
Stay safe!
