Soil Pipe Question

Hi,

Installing a Grohe Concealed Cystern / Frame (Rapisd SL)

I've a 90 degree bend after the pan and I need to drop say 40mm. Ideally need to use the 90 soil pipe that came with it as it clips in nicely for when you fit the pan later on.

What would be the best solution for this as the off-set pan connector, are just that, to connect to a pan and not the 90mm pipe I have....

Don't really follow you ? Do you mean the red pipe is 90 mm and it sits higher than the WC pan outlet ?

Thanks for the reply, let me try again, issue is not with the pan end, it the other end...

The 'red' (black 90mm) pipe is a 90 degree pipe supplied with the kit (with a red cap). I need to go up a little more with the frame so I need to drop down by 40mm into the pre-existing waste (white) pipe.

Why do you need to raise the frame ,not for the pan outlet to align with the red section surely ?
Sorry but I don't understand what the frame height has to do with the pan / waste alignment ?
Is there no adjustment of the pan to frame heights ?

If I leave it as is the pan will be too close to the floor.

The frame has adjustable legs for this reason. As I raise the frame as will the 'red section'.

So, the 90 degree bend will not then align with the pre-existing waste, so was hoping for a neat solution to drop it down.

It looks very tight / short distances to gain 40 mm height difference. An offset pan connector may do it ,if the rubber seal on the end of the black pipe can be removed ,and the black pipe itself will fit into the pan connector. There is really no difference between a ceramic pan outlet and a pipe going into a pan connector.

Cut the soil pipe back and fit your black bend into the spigot of one of these, you may need to cut it down a bit.

Thanks, I see how that can work.

I assume that the ‘socket’ fits over the pre-existing soil pipe?
