Bojo posted the screenshot and you can read the zoom ID number.

Just have to guess the password and you are in.

JRM - in full suit.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Probably uses wifi and same with mouse and keyboard etc so that can be hacked. Maybe his password is Churchill or that backwards if he thought enough.

Excuse my ignorance, (I'm a more senior member of the human race), but what the hell is ZOOM?

Before anyone else says it, I know it used to be the name of a lovely lolly ice. :)

A poor web conferencing / video conferencing service that shares your private data faster than a plumber can say cash job over the phone. :p

You should be able to give us the inside track on the meetings then (y)

Go on, you know you want to;)

i remember us kids scoffing a Cornetto the year they came out. IIRC, they were 18p each and my Mum thought it was a rip off!

rubbish.

the issue is it’s not hosted on the government secure cloud. You will find the tech and engineering behind zoom is up to the job. If you knew anything about them you wouldn’t post this.

the MoD is full of Microsoft fanboys who no doubt would like Teams to be used. The guy who built zoom was the guy behind webex before he sold it to Cisco

Now unless you know more than Schneir about security which I highly doubt.

Zoom security bug lets attackers steal Windows passwords

Zoom's end-to-end encryption isn't actually end-to-end at all.

The letter, first reported and seen by the New York Times, asked Zoom whether it had reviewed its security protections since its surge in popularity, and noted that the app had been slow to address security flaws in the past. “We appreciate the New York attorney-general’s engagement on these issues and are happy to provide her with the requested information,” Zoom said in an emailed statement.

I bought some NASDAQ:ZM a while back - I wish I'd bought more. Its no surprise that video conferencing is booming.

Looks like you are a stockholder.

All software has vulnerabilities from time to time, those issues are old news and have been fixed. And two versions of the same story. The reason it’s not MoD approved is because it’s not running on secure cloud.

If you’ve ever been involved in supplying cloud services to the MoD or government secure services you’d know they won’t allow it in unless it’s secure cloud. That includes mandatory U.K. cleared operations staff.

I held stock briefly. Zoom is rapidly on it’s way to being the no1 in the business and plenty of big corps would rather that didn’t happen. There are big differences between the free version and the enterprise version.

They're all licensed for Teams because they've gone for the MS for other stuff, and it runs out of a UK data center.

It's there, it's paid for and it's secure. So of course they'd want to use it.

But because it's secured it does have more overhead and admin needs than a simple system like zoom.
