So we are told that the only way to get rid of the virus from our hands is to either wash for 20 seconds in hot soapy water, or use a hand gel which must be alcohol based, alcohol is the only think that will kill it.

we are also told that the coronavirus attacks the throat first.

anyone see where I’m going yet?

So to Prevent or “cure” yourself, gargle with Vodka, at least twice a day!

You may tutt but think about it, who thought chewing a willow tree would be a good cure for pain(aspirin). Who thought the highly poisonous foxglove would aid heart conditions? It’s the simply things that work!

Note: so far this has not be recommended by anyone with a medical degree

Perhaps u are on to. Some thing

Ha ha 1st April!

That’s good, and as you say who knows, perhaps using such logic would reduce the chance of infection. Doctors, research scientists etc always skirt around the simple things, rather than use logic.

At the end of the day, when there is no cure whatsoever, just take the “magic” paracetamol cure-all, why not try Gargling alcohol - I’m game for it

Ive told my wife eating freshly baked scones and cakes everyday is the only way to ward off the coronas

sadly she hasnt taken the hint yet....

I think you’re missing the OP’s point, that the official line is that to destroy the covig-19 virus you have to have a hand gel containing alcohol, as alcohol is the only thing known to kill it. On that basis, and following the report that the virus first attacks the throat, then surely alcohol gargling would/might destroy it, thus preventing it getting into the body.

I suppose it’s as good as any ideas put forward by experts so far.

Your wife must have spoken to mine about it because yesterday she made a batch of 24 fruit scones! :D:D:D

No. :)

Perhaps do a bit more reading before patenting this vodka cure, and remember many Iranians believed the above and are now dead due to alcohol poisoning..

Jam first, cream on top.
Though I believe people in Devon do it one way and people in Cornwall do it the opposite way.
Not sure who does it which way though.

Do an experiment:

one, one way.
a second one, the other.

If you are still undecided, repeat the experiment(y)

Well, since the pubs have closed I've been hitting the brandy at home. As far as I know, I'm disease free at present. Liver cirrhosis not withstanding! ;)

So maybe there's something in it. ;);)
