8 metres would mean a

Total lock down of the country

If that is the case then may be a government would be advised to keep. It quiet?

Im interested in how the government will roll out the testing

1) the test that shows if youve had it only works a min of 28 days after the virus.

2) test used to see if you have the virus is only really valid on that day -you could be infected the day after the test.

This direct virus test would have to be done frequently

According to early reports it can detect it when people have it but only when it's reached a certain stage. In other words if not suffering to some degree it wont pick it up as the immune system isn't active enough. That from a report on some one who was making and shipping them out some time ago in CV terms. Where too and why pass.

if they get up to 25,000 tests a day it will only take 7 years to test everyone in the UK

They need to up the antibody testing to many1000s a day. Anyone with positive test is allowed back to work and no restrictions. Test will be associated to hmm your national Id card oh wait.

Just seen above yes 100k a day still will be over 2 years they will have the vaccine in half that..

Now they have decided that the droplets/virus might be spread 8 metres.

Presumably all the 2m. social distancing was rubbish.

How can that possibly be a new discovery and have taken this long to work out?

Not rubbish using the droplet theory. But with Aerosol it's a different story completely, let alone a windy day being downwind of a viral-loaded sneeze.

I say we all wear masks in public to stop spraying out and inhaling it. And to stop you touching your nose/mouth china stats Korea etc may well be one of the reasons the contagion rate is lower.

Trawling alot of the online research is sketchy even now.

My work colleague has been bedridden at home for nearly a week now. His Doctor says 50/50 on the chances of it being covid-19.
His 3 sons, daughter (nurses) and future daughter in law (doctor) all work in the NHS.

Either it is or it isn't? I suppose he's right.
Unless he's being admitted to hospital then he won't get tested so hopefully he won't know if it's Covid-19 or something else until the antibody test becomes widely available.

Just watching the news, and they done a section about cheers for key workers / mostly NHS.

I'm all for this and think it's great, and what a lovely thing to do,

But my problem is the celebrities posting their video's. The videos I see most of them live in the states and are generally seen as has beens their famous and you know who they are but are largely irrelevant in today's culture imo .. and the cynic in me can't help but think their taking the opportunity for their own self gratification.
