Tax-dodging billionaire seeks taxpayer bailout

I wonder if tax-dodging billionaire Richard Branson will do the same from his tax-haven private island.

On the one hand, I'd like to tell Philip Green to *** right off. Problem is the alternative is Redundancy which would end up being funded by the taxpayer anyway.

Of course he will, and he will continue to make millions (tax free) from the NHS, and he will continue to donate money to projects aimed at derailing Brexit.
It's what he does.

Once worked for a wealth management company, well dodgy outfit. Lets just say one of the owners of the company, who incidentally stiffed me for £17k now lives in Monaco. B&$%£rd.

I love these defamatory threads. Isn't the OP a Mod? might want to rethink the "tax dodging" allegation.

On the Arcadia point - its a government scheme available to employers to retain employees. The alternative is 10M unemployed.

That might well be The Donalds downfall, rather than furloughing or schemes to support companies, he's simply beefed up unemployment payments. Going into an election with eye watering levels of unemployment doesn't bode well.
Again it illustrates what a good job our government are doing.

I agree - sadly there will be 50 years of austerity - to pay for it. ;)

Perhaps if we had paid attention and not dismissed this earlier on we could have been better prepared with testing and equipment. Whats the cost of issuing everyone PPE equipment and testing letting the economy continue vs the costs of furlogh and payments etc.

The current response is trying to arrest the dramatic stop to the economy and fall in AD.

Luckily, we have known since 1936 how to build an economy out of recession.

The austerity theory is debunked.
