Splice PoE cable

Hi, connectors on our CCTV were not as sealed as I hoped, and the Ethernet terminals have rusted.

I'm trying to spkice the cables together, but on realising that this is a power over Ethernet (PoE) system, just wondering whether I can splice either of the two red and two black cables together? Nothing to tell them apart.

Perhaps not rust, but certainly no power getting to camera...

Turns out the Ethernet extension cable to

the camera is not the same as that directly attached to camera...

The brown and blue pair are + and - on POE so yes it doesn't matter the brown-white does the exact thing as solid brown top of my head the brown pair is + the Blue is pair is -.

Buy a fibreglass pencil and clean the connector first
