As seen in the attached pictures , some of the block paved drive has started to move .
Quite big gaps between some of the bricks, also they are not straight anymore due to the movement.

Would I be able to take up the ones that are out of line an re lay them ?

If so what's the best sand to use ,would I have to take up the old sand and create a new bed to re lay , or just use the old sand .

Any advice will be appreciated

Stay safe ,
Regards Martin

If you straighten them you will just move the open joints along.

Thanks for all the replies and advice.

Ian H " If you straighten them you will just move the open joints along "

This was all i was going to do ,as i dont fancy pulling it all and starting again .This is something that i wouldn't want to tackle .

So you would advise to leave as is then , maybe use some kiln dried sand the fill the gaps .

Thanks again

You might be able to get them a bit better. You won’t be able to get rid of the gaps but you could make them a bit more even.

Are the blocks that have moved near to a edge?

Hi Ian
Thanks again for the reply.
The blocks are more or less in the middle part of the drive .
All the blocks around the edges are all fine , no gaps or movement.

How would I go about trying to even these up

Thanks again

Martin

You will really struggle. If you look at the line of the blocks either side they are miles off:

If they haven't sunk, I'd just pull them up a few at a time and relay them without disturbing the sharp sand, from just before where they've moved all the way across. Work across in a line. Get a nice sharp trowel and even a hoover and clean up the muck that will be in the gaps, you'll find it doesn't take long to relay them - watch a few pro's on YouTube - the "skill" is in the prep, not throwing the blocks down. Once done refill with KDS.
However, as you've said that the perimeter blocks haven't moved then simple physics must tell you that they must have moved up or down so you need to investigate this further? They can only move up, down, or sideways to create those gaps.

The problem is the lack of edge restraint, and commonly the blocks being pushed by the vehicle.
