Exterior wood paint inside

We need to paint a front door and some parts of the stairs inside and we are decided on a particular Farrow and Ball colour.

Our builder suggested to get all exterior eggshell (+undercoat). We can split it and get some exterior and some estate (interior) eggshell but it will end up costing more because of the amounts we need and the sizes they sell it. To be more precise we need a little less than 2.5l outside and a little more than 2.5l inside.. so he just said get 5l exterior it will be good inside as well.

Is this the case indeed? Can it be used inside without issues in the future? Will the finish be any different?

I can't think of any potential problems with using exterior wood paint inside. Don't forget it is wise to have plenty of spare paint in case you do run out or for future touching up etc.

Exterior paint is meant to have fungicides and whatever else that you may not want to breath in. Check with the manufacturer's spec sheet on whether it should be used inside the house.

Well the paint is Exterior Eggshell. According to the below it is safe to use in toys so I guess it should be fine?
