Hopefully this is straight forward, however I’ve looked on here and can’t seem to locate an answer. I’ve also asked Myson technical and they suggested a new programmer, this is the 3rd one (but lasted the longest, 2nd was just a faint screen).

Sometimes if I “ext” (assuming the same as boost?) my heating, if the dhw is on at the same time, once the dhw time period has finished the heating will switch off, before it’s reached the ext time period, so like last night, I put heating on for ext 2 hours, but think it went off with dhw approx 30 mins later. If I then wait for dhw to finish time period, and repeat the process, then heating will stay on for 2 hours.

Anyone any ideas what might be happening?

Without more detail of the type of system you have it is difficult to comment. If you have gravity hot water, then this could explain your problem. Is the selector in the right position for your system?

No it’s a fully pumped, s plan, newly built 2009, we moved into it new in 2010. Myson 2 port zone valves, myson cylinder stat and myson room stat. I haven’t checked the selector, but assume it’s correct.

Sometimes it's best to get a pro in and not a Novice.

You're right, thanks for the reality check. I've been doing this for over 15 years, and still can't get it right. Yesterday (to quote a line from a song) doubt comes in and then it kicks like a horse. With the programmer I'll just live with it, not a major issue. Off to listen to papa roach - last resort.

Chris dont assume anything, by your description it does sound like your programmer is set to gravity HW , very easy to check, turn the fused spur off for the heating, remove your programmer front off, and at the back there are 4 tiny switches, no 3 should be in the up position , if it is in the down position that is your problem
