Enforcer Alarm - DIY or Not...

It depends what you want to do. I clean start 2000 and make usual tweaks

Essentially I just want to do what was in that image - why would anyone not do the 2020 (grade 2) version?

The Annex in the engineer manual shows you the different defaults per setting

Thank you for pointing me to that. It seems really weird you can’t unset the pin when in entry time which is what will happen the moment I open the front door! So will do as you guys said and go with ungraded.
Thank you so much for the help

I don’t think your getting it but best of luck

Lol. If I’ve misunderstood do you want to explain it?

Not really but your making binary assumptions that because a clean start sets your panel in a certain way that your stuck with the collective settings, where in face each setting can be independently modified.

You need to read the manual

Ah thanks I have a better understanding now - didn't realise I could still change some of the individual settings. I will go with the 2000 setting as suggested and make the required tweaks.

I think below are the key changes I need to make from 2000 to 2020 - can you please confirm?

Pre-Alarm - changes from 0 to 30 seconds
Line fault - changes from 180 to 20 seconds
Set fail - changes from 120 to 40 seconds
Wireless Supervision Time - changes from 20 to 2 hours
A Exit Mode - I BELIEVE I WANT TO KEEP THIS AS TIMED/FINAL?

Set With Tamper+ - changes from Yes to No
Set with ATS Fault - changes from Yes to No
Restrict PIN Use - I BELIEVE I WANT TO LEAVE AS IT IS I.E. SET TO NO
Wireless Bell Supervision - change from No to Yes

Have I missed anything?

Grade 2 settings seem to offer slightly higher security. You only need grade 2 if installed by an approved company and to satisfy insurance companies. DIY do as you please.

Pre-Alarm - changes from 0 to 30 seconds
This setting only applies to systems that signal to a monitoring centre. I think it means if you stray from the entry route there must be an audible notification for 30 seconds before a signal is sent to the monitoring centre.

Line fault - changes from 180 to 20 seconds
If you have no comms module this setting is irrelevant.

Set fail - changes from 120 to 40 seconds
Not sure what this setting does but I’d like to know sooner rather than later if the system has failed to set. 40 seconds too long imo.

Wireless Supervision Time - changes from 20 to 2 hours
Again I’d like to know sooner rather than later if a device is communicating with the control panel.

A Exit Mode - I BELIEVE I WANT TO KEEP THIS AS TIMED/FINAL?
Area A set as Final if you have a door contact on the entry/exit door. If a movement detector set as timed.
Area B as above

Set With Tamper+ - changes from Yes to No
I’d leave as yes. No would be a grade 3 setting I believe. Don’t think a system can be grade 3 if it has wireless devices.

Set with ATS Fault - changes from Yes to No
Same as the tamper setting leave as yes. No comms module installed it’s irrelevant anyway.

Restrict PIN Use - I BELIEVE I WANT TO LEAVE AS IT IS I.E. SET TO NO
Think this a setting only used for monitored systems that require police response. Why Pyronix default this setting as Yes I’m not sure.

Wireless Bell Supervision - change from No to Yes
I’d leave as Yes but not going to make much difference. Just means that the siren will activate if loses it communication with the control panel albeit after the 2 hour supervision time.

Thank you Gibbles

When you set this up did you go with 2020 or 2000 then?

I'd go for 2000 then add whichever option suits your installation. Every option is programmable regardless of defaulting to ungraded or graded.

Perfect. Thank you all. Appreciated.

Although just one final question - on my hallway sensor when I come down the stairs from night mode - it didn’t work on 09 setting it only worked on 08 - is that right? Ie the countdown didn’t happen on 09 just 08
