Hi all,

Had anybody any experience of changing the lower element in these ovens? The oven currently doesn't raise higher than 150 degrees.
I've changed the fan element in the past (take off the housing from the front as seen in the ouc belowe then remove the casing from the back of the oven to accesss it).
Not particularly straightforward but doable.
However, the lower element seems to be far more trickier. With the housing off I can see the double pronged element but can't seem to access it (see pic...excuse the muck..it will be cleaned).
Unless I have to take the entire back of the oven off (which seems quite 'destructive')?

I also need to replace the fan element. The parts on this oven are hard to match hence why I need to see the element first to match it up correctly.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Ok - managed to get to it. There's a tray which sits under the oven released via screws at the front and back (there's a warmer drawer under the oven).
So could release the element and take a look.
This is the lower element - I'm struggling to find an exact match - is it necessary to exactly match the same element?

Cheers.

So my question is (given I can't find the exaxt match) would something like this work? It's 1700w like the old one but has a slightly different look to it (with those prongs at the front).
I've used compatiable elements in the past and they've been absolutely fine, more a case of the fit (these are the only 1700w's that come up in my searches):
