Tap confusion

Hi,

We bought these for our new bath: https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/cruze-deck-bath-side-valves-with-freeflow-bath-filler

Note: there are two taps, only one pictured.

Connections are 3/4. I have done all the plumbing in PEX so I intend to adapt into 3/4 to go into the taps, but I just wanted to check what happens after the taps.

Is it just a case of the H&C tap outlets going to a tee and then up into the filler inlet? I think the taps have built in check valves if that makes any difference.

1. Yes, into either side of a Tee, output to filler.
2. If you are putting these on the long edge of a bath, next to a wall, then:
2a. I'd strongly advise you to run 22 mm copper, bent or with solder joints, from the tap inlets to an accessible place. Otherwise, if you have problems, you might be faced with taking the bath out to rectify them.
2b. Fit it all to the bath and pressure test before installing bath.

May be an idea to look at using a Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) - it can then be set to an ideal temp and has a single output.

I get real wary about plumbing product kits that aren't supplied with proper fitting instructions and supply all the correct fittings required to make the product function correctly.

That should also have read - "and don't supply all the correct fittings required to make the product function correctly"
