Hello, Not much money so was thinking about ' painting ' the paving slabs at my new address rather than replace. Obviously I would use Masonry paint. I know its something that can be done, but was wondering if anyone on this site has ever done this and if so any tips or advice?

Never done paving slabs.
Done garage floor and it does wear and peel.

Don't paint paving slabs with masonry paint. It will wear and peal and look terrible.
And regarding money, you will be spending money on paint for ever repainting it, and then money trying to get rid of it.

Whats wrong with the paving slabs that simply cleaning with some dilute bleach won't sort out?.

Have a look in your area on some of the freecycle websites. Occasionally people give away their slabs when they do up their own gardens. You may be lucky?

I second no painting - one winter and they will start to look even worse than just pink!

Clean them by using pink cleaner? Brings them up like brand new. Best 89p you will ever spend.Hope this helps.

Thought I would do some more, the wife said! That’s how good it is takes only a couple of minutes.
