See photo. I am trying to remove this sink. I will be putting it back.

i assume I loosen the connection at the top. It’s very stiff. Also, am I turning the thin nut at the bottom or the big one on top. Ie does the top half of the nut stay in place or the bottom ring screw off?

Thanks

Hold the lower thin nut to prevent the flexy pipe twisting, and undo the larger, top nut.
If you want to undo at the bottom of the flexy, hold the isolator valve firmly and undo the nut above.
John :)

Thanks man that worked.

Now I have undone all the screws and ran round the silicone but it will not budge. There were 2 screws in the sink and 2 in the pedestal. Other than that there are 2 holes which seem to protrude into wall - I can feel the tile through them.

I can feel silicone in there so I assume they smothered the back and my Stanley round the edge literally “won’t cut it!”

I have put a load of wd40 down the cracks, but it still won’t budge.

can I assume correct procedure now would be to get some kind of silicone scraping tool?

I am trying not to break the tiles.

Any other suggestions?

Enter, stage left, an old bread knife specially kept for the occasion of slicing through silicone down the back of the sink!
John :)
