My Miele G 1022 dishwasher when started alternately runs and stops for about five minutes and the the top three yellow LEDs which are in a vertical bar all blink at 1 Hz.

There's a procedure for the G1040 by RichardMNZ over at this thread which gives the procedure for that model:
  1. Door shut. Dial at 12. Dishwasher turned off.
  2. Hold the start/stop button down and turn it on using the power button.
  3. Press and release the start button 3 times but hold it down on the third time until the start/stop light flashes slowly.
  4. Turn the knob to 1am and note the flash pattern. Press start/stop to see if there is more than one code. Press and hold start/stop it clear any codes.
  5. 3am is where you can test individual components
It doesn't seem to work on my model.

Does anyone know the fix on this model and then where to find the meaning of the code? I can't find the service manual online.

Many thanks.

For anyone trying to get into the diagnostics on the G1022:

  • Close the door, power off and rotate the knob to 12 o'clock.
  • Hold the start button, press the power button and release the start button.
  • Immediately release the start button and press it five times quickly and hold it on the last push until the start LED starts blinking.
As far as I know you can read the error code by turning the knob to 3 o'clock.

Here's a technical manual for the G1000 / G2000 series but it doesn't specifically cover the G1022. My best guess is that Table 6-8 on page 114 is the closest for the fault codes.
