I am doing an extension 5.5m long and 3 m wide. The roof has to span longways and joists are 300mm deep. I have to put a timber wall plate to the existing house wall and wanted to know what size bolts I need. I was thinking M12 200mm.

Any help with the size and spacings of the bolts would be appreciated.

Not wanting to teach granny to suck eggs but you sure it is a solid full brick wall & not a cavity brick wall?

You would only need a fixing depth of 80mm, and no need for resin unless the bricks are crumbly.
