Shed cladding options

I’ve got an old shed I’m looking to replace.

It’s against the end wall of my garage so I’m intending to make it a ‘lean to’, using the garage wall as one of the sides. Back wall will be against neighbours fence, right hand wall will be against fence, front will be viewable.

Picture shows current shed that I’m going to replace. New shed will completely fill the space upto the fence.

Question is... I don’t want to put fancy cladding on the sides I can’t see. What are my options?! Don’t want to pay out for ship lap/tongue and groove if I can just use some ply or suitable alternative.

Look forward to hearing your replies.

Neil

Hi Neil. What are your plans for the roof and rainwater run off? If the shed extends to the fence you might upset the neighbour if it runs off over to their side.
Material-wise, go with the best you can afford and give it a few coats of proofing before you build, as you’ll never be able to access is again afterwards

Similar style to what is there at the moment - will finish just short of the neighbours fence to allow it to run into a gutter.
