Hi all,

Attached are some images of my conservatory doors.

As you can see, there is some degradation on the doors, they have started to rot.

I have thought about sanding this down, filling any holes, and repainting. Honest opinions - do you think this is salvageable and what is the best way of doing this?

Thanks,
Andy

May be salvageable, main problem is your decking is too high and close to the door .

What do you mean by this? The top decking that you can see in the photo is removable to allow things to be stored underneath.

Water is going to bounce off the decking and onto the doors.
That's why they will rot.
Remove the decking piece and fill with the top of a bit of channel drain or find a bit of similar grating

Thanks both. Apologies this is probably very stupid but if I put a channel drain between the decking and the door, this will increase drainage but how does it prevent splash back onto the door?

It won't stop it, but will reduce it.
Depending on the ratio of metal /plastic to hole.
You can get plastic tops that are more hole than material.
