Any idea what this is? It looks to be glued and I could do to cut Into it because there is a leak on it further down.

Just thinking how to connect back up to 25mm MDPE once I’m done.

Thanks

If the copper is 22mm then the PVCu pipe looks smaller than 2", look up Philmac 3g when you get the OD.

I’ve got some of those just not sure if they would crush/crack the pipe. Also there is no known external stoptap.

PVC Pressure pipe by the look of it, find it a lot on pump pipework for sewage. Bigger sizes you can get a Viking Johnson (VJ) coupling to join it, but not sure if they go that small. Is the plastic is the supply end?

The feed comes from the main, through the 50mm, into the 22mm copper, through the (burried) tap and into the house in 3/4 black alk. A proper miss match.

Unusual, private sub main? Although I think that type of plastic was used for water mains in the mid 80's for a bit, in the transition from iron to PE.
