Is there such a thing as a Electric Needle Gun or Drill Attachment? I was removing rust from metal fence posts before painting and its a pain! lol. I don't have a air source.

These things are very expensive to buy - use one and you’ll see why!
Definitely hire, but angle grinder flap discs could be an alternative.

For anyone else looking needle scale heads are generally available for electric chippers or scalers. Chippers/scalers are heavy to use (typically 5 to 7kg) and are a real handful. Not a hope in hell of ever seeing a cordless with decent run time in the foreseeable future (or ever?), either. The best option in terms of weight and power are pneumatic scalers such as the Trelawny, but they require a biggish compressor (15 to 20 cfm) - any less and you don't have enough air. The adaptors for small lightweight pneumstic chisels are so small and that it really affects how long it takes to get the job done. I suspect that a converted chisel with a needle scaling head wouldn't last long if used for "scabbling" as they just arent tough enough

Was never beaten with scaly rust deploying a good hammering and large angle grinder with wire brush.

Don't know how much work you have to do but bear in mind your hearing and wear ear defenders. Hearing loss is cumulative and not just sudden noises.
Also when using needle guns wear comfortable padded gloves and take frequent breaks to reduce the risk of 'white finger'. Again, this is cumulative and not something that develops suddenly. You don't have to be doing these jobs repeatedly over many years for the conditions to occur.
