Best car wax for a white motor???

Meguiars Ultimate Wax is simply the best there is, in my opinion......although its difficult to see any bloom on white vehicles, this is so easy to apply and remove.
It also can be used on black plastic trim without leaving any white crusty deposits at all.
Here's something I've mentioned before......your frontal paintwork / bonnet etc will attract metallic particles from brake linings and so on.
Treat these areas with a good drench of Autoglym Magna solution, leave it a few minutes and any particles will turn purple as they are dissolved - and then wash it off. You'll be amazed at what comes off, I think.

Mer used to be the dog's bowlocks years ago. Used to give a fantastic shine on my old bangers. Could even almost polish a turd. Soulds like it's been overtaken by more recent products though.

I've got two bottles of Mer, I must have had them for more that twenty years, I still use them but not often enough. It's still the dogs nuts imho.

I started using it in late 80s when I regularly used to go to the Bristol Classic car show. They had a stand there and used to apply polish to a bonnet, then splash petrol on and set fire to it (can you imagine them getting that past H&S now?). Then they'd buff it up to a high gloss after putting the flames out. :sneaky: Bit of theatre I suppose, maybe all polishes will take that treatment. Used to have the punters, including me, queueing up to buy this wonder polish. Was definitely a lot better than watery Turle Wax that was about all that was available then.

Has other uses too. Can polish the woodwork on the dash. Also be diluted in water and polish the glass. Wasn't cheap, but better than what was available.

Still around but formula changed.
