Ideal Logic - No water flow Lockout

Hi All,

I recently moved into a new house and after a week we are getting the error message "No Water Flow Lockout" on an Ideal Logic Plus Combi.

I have checked the pressure and that looks ok - its almost 2 bar. My wife said when she couldn't get hot water earlier she "tried to boost the pressure"

Any Ideas? Can anyone also just check all the valves are the right way round - ie open where they need to be?

New house? What a poor install and poor boiler. She’s increased the Central Heating pressure. Thinking it would boost the HW?

The blue handle above the white pipe needs opening fully.

That is one of the two that controls the filling loop.
Are you getting water out of your hot water taps ,but just not hot ?

As soon as the boiler is switched on it says No Water Flow Lockout...fill system to 1.bar and it never fires, the burner never lights up. I am getting cold water from the hot tap - so its flowing.

You need an engineer . Either the pump is seized ,or failed ,or the part within the boiler that senses the water flow is suspect.
I assume it doesn't fire up for central heating either ?

Just noticed as well, there is a black rubber nipple on the underside of the boiler near the front, its slightly wet to touch. I noticed some drips on the floor

I don't think so - that blue valve is the heating filling loop isolator, and should be SHUT.
The cause of the complaining boiler has been covered by others:
1. Faulty or blocked flow turbine - needs a Gas Safe fitter to remedy
2. Failed pump - needs a Gas Safe fitter too

OP, terryplumb has asked you a question - does the boiler work when heating is demanded? Answering it won't make your boiler work, but it may go some way towards answering your next question - "What do you think is wrong with it?". So far there are two possible failure modes, and each requires a Gas Safe fitter to rectify.

For those about to argue, the front cover on this boiler forms part of the flue system, and a correctly functioning (and verified so) seal is mandatory to meet the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
