So, as the title says, i noticed last night that house was getting hotter, turned thermostat to zero, switch everything to off on the main control but still it wouldnt switch off, ended up taking out photocell and fuse in an attempt to stop it, not sure which worked but thankfully it stopped, any ideas on the problem? Cheers

Stuck actuator on a zone valve or three port valve, depending on what system you have. Can you identify the valve controls, usually around the pump and cylinder?

One actuator has been off for years, i think that meant i cant do c/h only?? Which isnt a big problem

And the pipe with no actuator is still pretty hot from last night, is that normal? Thanks for responding btw

So, the burner wont fire up now, and on closer inspection, the actuator cant turn the valve when its asked to, lastly, is this valve position on or off.....

Actuator turns about a third when its off of the valve, wont move at all when its on the valve
