Hi... I am trying to replace the shower tray out let in my shower base but i don't know the correct name for it. Every time I try to bring it up on the internet it shows me a complete outlet fitting. All I want to do is replace he chrome bit.
cheers

4CB07250-1A5D-4227-B8D6-E4320CD7CF3C.jpeg It looks like mcalpine by the tightening slots but others may have the same pattern. If it is, as above, one may need to buy a complete trap just to get the top section if the whole thing is not easily replaced.

So does that mean that shower base will have to come out ☹️

To do the job properly then access will really be needed beneath the tray, even if it's just to ensure that when replacing it doesn't cause a leak at the underside seal.

Stop using bleach based products too, it eats the chrome coverings off of plastic and brass fittings.

If there isn't a chance to get underneath I'd look at a chrome paint solution if it's bothering you that much.
