I'm looking to build a pond in the garden (where else?) and I thought it'd be cool to have a glass panel basically ON the water that you could walk over (a bridge to the greenhouse, to be exact)

Any ideas as to what to search for online? I'm not sure where to start!

TIA

I think you'll need some decently thick glass, possibly laminated, to take the weight.

I also have a fish tank and on the fish forum chap made himself a tank out of basically his whole garage with a massive glass panel facing into his living room - like you see at the aquarium. That is some super strong glass because of the weight/pressure from the water volume. He bought the glass from Tuff X.

Hope that helps.

This is my pond, needs a clean:

You see this is the hidden price of lockdown that Boris isn't considering. People with too much time on their hands coming up with crazy ideas.

Personally, I'd want to set the top of the glass 20mm under the water so that I could do a cool walking-on-water trick for friends. Might be a bit slippery though. See you in A&E!

Make sure it's removable to clean the algae off the underside. Or use an old Mondeo windscreen.
