Hi guys I have a mobile bar and I need to connect a 12v heater/hand basin to 240v plug, I have attached the photo of wiring diagram, I’d appreciate any help you could offer if any, I looking at buying “something” to connect all together off of eBay if possible, cheers for any help you may be able to offer

Why?

Then search for 12V or 24V plugs and sockets.

I was given the 12v heater when I bought the unit and don’t really want to go down the battery route, I need to hard wire it in with a transformer of some description.

What your looking for is not a 12v to 240v plug.

You are looking for a 240v (230v) to 12v power supply that can deliver 10 amps.
This will be expensive.

However a car battery that is on trickle charge will be far cheaper.

You're going to need a fairly hardcore 12v power supply for that. Something with a decent margin above 30A would be sensible. Such power supplies are commonly 13.8v rather than 12v, which is about what you'd expect to get from a nominal 12v vehicle with the engine running and the battery being charged. If the device is designed to be used in a motorhome or boat, then it will be designed with a fairly wide voltage tolerance, typically 11v to 14.5v.
A power supply that big won't be cheap. Something like this would do it https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/SK650664.html

As always, I'd recommend buying from a UK supplier, it might not be any better quality than one bought direct from China, but any warranty claims will be a huge amount easier.

.

I can't see where the OP got the 10A figure in the post title from tbh, the manual shows either 20A or 30A depending on which model the OP has.

Ok Mattylad, Can you give me some guidance please I appear to be getting no where from people I’ve asked, is it safe to leave on while using as it’s a hand wash like you see in the mobile welfare van, I do potentially have a 12v water pump for the cold feed can that be put on the battery as well, the unit will obviously be plugged in to mains or a generator while trading.

Surely the first thing you need to check is which model hand basin you have. This will affect the size of the fuse you need to use. 12v DC is far safer than 240V. 12V Garden lights leaking and filling with water will continue to operate long after a 230v will have tripped. The main risk is a malfunction burning out wires/ fire which is where the fuse comes in.

If you have mains power then it would be a lot better to buy a mains-powered unit, especially for the water heating.

I assume it's a variant of this: https://www.tealwash.com/product-category/tealwash-range/

They are designed for car battery voltages and won't operate at true 12V because that would indicate a low battery status.

Could you confirm the actual model and wattage for what you have?

This is the one I have, it came with the unit otherwise I would had gone for the easier option.

Robin0577, many thanks for your help, I got there in the end, many thanks to you all for patience as you are probably aware I’m new to this, however the previous trader used to use the facilities at his own bar, this bar was just an addition, however I need hand wash facilities to use it as “mobile”.
Once again many thanks to you all
