Noisy combi boiler

I’ve just had a new combi boiler fitted and it is making a loud noise every 15-30 mins. It sounds like a plane taking off. The heating is off and I’m not using any water at the time. It is a Worcester Bosch greenstar 8000 Life. I’ve never had a combi boiler before but don’t think this is normal.

It is firing to preheat a small quantity of hot water. Plane like noise is the fan that runs at different speed. Some boilers a deathly quite, others would wake the dead

It sounds more like a toilet cistern refilling rather than a fan. I was told this boiler was meant to be very quiet. It’s doing it every 15 mins now.

That's not normal for the boiler you have, get your installer back or get Worcester out

Your boiler is still under warranty, just call them out
