This screw(?) is holding a drawer runner in place. But is working itself loose from the pre-drilled hole. It's chipboard or similar. Is there anything I can do to give the screw thread something to grip into better?

it should be a 5mm hole
as said wood glue but give it a couple off days to dry as the screw will act like a lid

Drill new holes , should be several to chose from , you can also add extra wood screwS in necessary.
If I abandon this screw and use a self tapping screw for chipboard in fresh wood. Would a small pilot hole help? There's not much, if any, room for drilling.
