I have had a kitchen installed recently, with a built in class 5 double oven.
I haven't felt that it has been working probably. I purchased the kitchen from a small independent kitchen designer. I went through them first and they got Hotpoint to come out and replace the thermostat. The Hotpoint engineer displayed that the oven reached temperature (200c) after he replaced the thermostat.
However, I used a cake packet mix to check the oven last night and I still don't feel it is working properly. I pre heated the oven. The packet said 15-18 minutes, by 18 minutes they were not nearly cooked. The cakes took a further 6 minutes.
Has anyone any suggestions? I don't know if I'm being silly or have I been given a duff oven. I've spent a lot of money on this project.
Thanks in advance

It might be worth buying a cheap oven temp thermometer like this and check it for yourself. I bought one for our range cooker on which the non-fan oven seemed too hot. It turned out that it's 50 degrees out on the control but works perfectly fine, ie set it at 120 to cook at 170 etc. (I've tried to get a new control for it but gave up after sending a couple of wrong ones back)
