I only miss the squat rack - I think I might just buy myself one of the Gyms remain closed. Nothing like some squats and deadlifts to separate the men from the boys.

I had to when my hips gave in, but returned after I got new ones, injured my shoulder at work, so off again, ready to go back when Corona stopped it

Baffled, it's designed for women

Is there something we should know?
It is exactly the same as the "" mens"" B17 just a little bit shorter..I was sent it by mistake and was going to send it back, but tried it and it is fine...Cycled thousands of miles with it,day after day. .Short version means no pressure at all on balls area. Not just the saddle but the angle is important too...Like many things you do not bother so much as a kid,but in your 50s you do tend to try and illiminate sources of possible pain or problems. Some cyclists do end up with bladder problems possibly caused by constant pressure.

I have tried paddled saddles, gel covers, luv groove saddles, alsorts, and ended up trying to cycle with red raw skin...not fun..on a cycling holiday.even with chamois cream and commando style...But never had a problem with B17 short saddle.Last year I hired a touring bike in Germany..Cycled down the Rhine,Larne and Moselle...Tip top holiday apart from bloody saddle sores.

I wear bibs, even on the MTB under my shorts. Never had problems even on the Southdowns way double - though 200 miles and 26k ft climb offp-road in 24

For me it's the Smiths Machine as I train alone. Though increasingly my eldest can spot me. They are a bit pricy for a home gym at £3K. Can't you knock up a squat rack and buy an olympic bar and some weight?

I have the space but currently not the mindset - a part of going to the gym for me was it was a break from the daily routine - no colleagues, no family just myself - no music either - I listen to podcasts - help me focus on lifts.

If I am doing endurance work it's the only time I will listen to short bursts of music just to get me through.

Well to the squat rack I would need to add the concept2 rowing machine as well.

2000m sub 7m is my target - I was at 7m 12 before the lockdown - nothing special.

Also I had to go to an "industrial style" gym to get trained into how to actually squat properly. As the great man himself says -"hiiiiiiiiiiipp drive"
