What have you been doing today?

We have one in particular that barks and howls, owner shouts at it be quiet, dog barks even more, and so it goes on
Mine do bark a bit when I let them out, but it's mostly my neighbours' fault so I'm hard pressed to care much. (At my old place, any time I let them out at night, I kept the main culprit on a lead.)

Had 3 dogs in my lifetime and they were not allowed to bark in the garden or at the postie, trained not to. :)

Today I am reasonably happy. As my complaint to the council & cops did nothing with the pub's live DJ, 3 days ago I wrote an official complaint to the cops. I don't know if it's helped but tonights rubbish Ibiza sounds DJ isn't playing as advertised... Heaving out there but I can cope with the sound of laughter & stuff, just not that tosh that is supposed to be music. Hope it lasts!

If the neighbour is teasing/winding it up? But I'd have to question why a neighbour would do that.. So yeah, I'll shut up :)

How can it be your neighbour's fault if your dog barks?
As my dogs are usually barking at their dogs who they leave loose for most of the day and, without mine going out to patrol, will sh*t in my garden*. Ditto cats. And since next door did a load of work on their drains, I seem to have a vermin problem too.

*their livestock also partially pulled down my fence, and they're refusing to fix it so far. I'm too knackered to take it any further atm.

So yeah, call it passive-aggressive, but a bit of barking isn't much in comparison.

In summary: if your neighbours' dogs are barking, it may be their petty revenge on you for a perceived slight. :D

Got dressed and ready for doing some car work this morning - haven’t worked on a car since March and found that all of my work jeans had shrunk in the cupboard. Serviced a couple of cars and fitted a set of pads. Right now, I’m cream crackered!

Just finished the first coat of paint in the bathroom. What a right blydi palaver. After splashing out on a can of Johnstones Antique Cream bathroom paint, I loosened it for the first coat, started applying it...then turned around, compared it to the suite and realised it was totally the wrong colour. Wanted a warm cream, but it was more lemon yellow.

You know when two colours look so awful side by side that neither looks nice? That was it.

I wiped off what I could, then dug out an old can of Johnstones soft sheen white with a bit of rust in, chucked in an ivory tester, started applying it...then decided to sieve it through an old pair of stockings before continuing as the rust bits weren't totally mixed in!

I'll probably regret not using a normal matt emulsion, but it looks OK for now. Hard stop filling tomorrow, though I don't know what I'll be mixing in as I don't think vinyl paint works.

I also hard-stopped the hallway ceiling, and it just needs a sand before the final coat of paint. Then, architraves need cleaning and a light oil before painting the walls.

I know all this is probably boring as to read, but I've typed it out now so s*d it.

I need sleep.

Mrs Motties birthday today so I was up early putting croissants in the oven and making her a fresh fruit salad and orange juice for her birthday breakfast. Gave her her presents - handbag, choccy's and flowers (still waiting for the Marks's beauty box I bought off eBay that should have been here yesterday ) and then she’s off to work. I’m then off out for an early dog walk.

I think I might be getting a bus lane fine due to my own stupidity.:mad: Going along on my bike at 2:10pm, not allowed in the bus lane between 3.00 and 7.00 so I went in it, thinking as I normally do 'why do these idiots swerve to miss the bus lane even when they can use it' and it wasn’t until I got to the end of the lane that I realised I hadn’t used my bike for ages so I hadn’t put the clock on it forward in spring and it was actually 3:10pm. Who's the bloody idiot now!
