Hi, I have a Solidor door with 1 full length side panel. An aluminium 10mm thick coupler is supplied with plastic trims to cover the jonts. One side of the coupler is smooth/flat and the other has 2 small tongues on each side (sicking out about 2 mm and 4 mm from the edge). I’m not sure which way round the coupler should go, would the smooth side go on the inside or outside?

Many thanks for any advice.

when you line it up.on the door frame, does ' tongue ' side fit proud ? From memory thats the outside as then the trim clips on and completely covers the joint

If I put the smooth side on the outside it fits proud (coupler 2 picture), however the tongues dont fit flash on the inside. Is that OK?

To me (I’m no expert) it looks like the coupler isn’t compatible with your plastic profile.
