Hi everyone,

I have moved into a house in which the integral garage has a ceiling and wall which is bare plaster. It was plastered over 5 years ago but never painted over. Would I still need to apply a mist coat before painting or is there anything else different I need to do when compared with a newly plastered wall?

Many thanks

Always mist coat bare plaster anything from 60/40 emulsion to water.

After 5 years you may want to wipe it down with a damp fibre cloth to remove any dust or dirt before painting.

Great will do - thanks for your help
