Hi there

My rental property’s previous owner has screedEd over the 1930s quarry tiles in my kitchen. I’ve laid Lino and the screed has ‘blown’. Presumably no damp course. I’m considering scraping off the blown screed, painting on a DPM and rescreeding with self levelling compound.

Does this sound like the way forward? Any recommendations on a surface DPM?

thanks in advance

Thanks Daz. This will be my thankless task tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the stuff locally otherwise postage is going to sting me!

You should try and go a local flooring company that does LVT , Amtico , Karndean. They should be able to order it for you.
