Afternoon.
Panicking a bit. I'm letting the other half of the house to keep the wolf from the door, and the grout in that bathroom is cracked all over the place.

I don't currently have time to cut it out and regrout. EDIT: I tried, but the new grout was a different colour - see below.

Anyone ever used that gap tiling tape stuff please? It's only for a couple of months, until I have a chance to do it properly.

I know it will probably look awful, but I'm really pushed for time to get everything ready.

I dont know what you mean but if the grout is gone for some time then the tile backing has also probably gone to ie. the whole lot will need stripping off to basics and redoing.
If a tile falls off while a tenant or tenant's child is having a bath then you will be liable.

Thanks. The bathroom has only been used sporadically for the last five years. I've tried getting the tiles off and they aren't loose at all. (I removed a couple a while back and chunks of the wall came with them.) I've tried digging the grout out, but the glaze is coming off with it.

Balls.

I started filling the gaps, to discover the old grout wasn't white - it's some off white colour.

Now, I have to do some detective work and figure out where my mother could have bought non-white grout in a small town and hence, which brand and colour. I suspect BAL from the local kitchen shop, but could be wrong.
