Well decided to start my shed as weather nice and can't do anything indoors yet. Just an 8 x 4 to store bikes.

Started on the base this afternoon and the rear side. Using 3 x 2 and sterling board with a shiplap cladding. The base is 18mm with 3 x 3 bearers. The rear is 11mm Sterling with a roof membrane then started on the cladding. Wish i'd of ordered all my waneylap too as i could of been cracking on with my fencing too.

Well did a bit today on the shed. Finished the back panel and started cutting the OSD to make the sides. Had a tri to get some shopping and do some washing etc so will crack on in the morning,

Well just stopped for a brew and to check if i worked at MFI or Ikea in a past life.. Yes i gone and made to left hand side panels to my shed. Luckily i only clad and painted one. Oooh well it's all exciting stuff

Sorted my little error with the side panel and cracked on when no rain yesterday. Putting side panels in and going to make a start on the roof before the front. Going to go with the door in the middle i think but first i got to measure the spacing for the bikes so they fit in neatly each side.

Well done a few bits in between everything else. Bit stuck at the mo as no shed felt so had a poly black sheet so that on temp. Got Monday free so will probably finish it. Found some white undercoat so may as well paint inside before i dismantle my old shed.

Well shed done now bike racks in and recycled an old set of drawers for bike tools. Cracking on with garden. Laying utility flags ready to take the outdoor tiles. Top going to come off BBQ as it getting rendered for a more contemporary look.

Well been cracking on with the garden now and after a disaster with the pizza oven cracking when taking mould off i have managed to get it sorted and on it's base. Just got to make a hinged lid for Tandoori oven and BBQ. Going to have a go at rendering when get a few dry days. Got to paint the render at top of house next too. Going to order blocks and lintels to make a seating area and mini bar in front of bin storage. All trees gone now so its like a real sun trap in the garden. Still waiting for rest of fence panels but got other bits to crack on with for now.

Well been doing some other bits but managed to get back in the garden to crack on for summer. Pizza oven and Tandoor/BBQ nearly done now. Going to try a finishing rendering coat today hopefully. Got to get soil for planters and some pebbles for the top. Glad i waited before laying the tiles in the garden. That be last job i think. If the render looks well i going to build a seating area as way cheaper than buying a lounge set and it will last longer.

Nice job! Did you ever do any rendering yourself before?

Are you using Erbauer battery tools? Are they any good? Been pondering on buying a set and want to go for the Makita ones, but not sure if I can justify the cost as I would only use them for a bit of DIY.

Not done any rendering before now. Just had front of house rendered and was asking the chap about the cost. It's per sqm so would of been expensive.

I had a go as the area's i doing not to large so getting really smooth not an issue. You lucky with garden as if it bumpy you can say it rustic looking. Had a bit where it crumbled on oven but scrapped off and did again. Have found that it easier on the blocks due to the rough surface. Just waiting for dry weather to finish the top coat.

Was lucky as it was on offer at Tradepoint for 125 and it a cracking D.I.Y drill and batteries last too. It 120 Nm so drives long screws with easy.

Plenty of kit out there on offer at various places. Dewalt and Makita always on offer at Tool Station or Screwfix and Machine Mart but remember if you going for cordless weight up the cost of the other tools too as might not work out to be a bargain. Go for the higher amp batteries too

How does the tandoori oven work?

Hi Ian.

He's a clip from youtube from a chap which will explain. I few others have used thinner pots but these can crack. I got some thick ones and still had a crack but i fire cemented it. Got mine over 500c with charcoal and hardwood kinder. Has to be kept dry and build up the fires. Don't start with a really hot one. The will know when you have the right temp as the soot will burn off the inside and be clean.

How's the hot tub been ?

weather letting me down at the mo but got a little more done. Flower beds finished another few days to dry and just a lick of paint and clean the limestone toppers. Pondering on gas or charcoal for BBQ. Pizza oven just needs a suitable chimney. Looking at some black stove pipes at the mo which have caught my eye. Making a oven door on my list and the finishing edge on the front to do. Then it going to be the composite decking and seating area to finish. Breeze block bar looking like it going to be added at the bottom of the garden. Trying to get the missus to let me build a sunken hot tub too.
