is anybody having trouble with their recordings not showing .. having tested the 500gb hard drive and no problems with it, I thought It might have been the HD Packing up ,but got tested from another source and it's working fine. can't see any capacitors blown, I did the latest s/w update UKSFAA 3.00.94 But still no good. it's out of guarantee ,three years old... It was a great recorder and want to try and keep it if possible... any ideas please.

have you tried reformatting the drive, using the humax menu, will lose any existing recording, but maybe worth trying

i've got a phillips freeview recorder as well. so i swapped them over and it worked fine. The humax doesn't see the hard drive when connected , so now i'm suspecting something on the motherboard although there's nothing visual .
