Recommendations for glass break alarms

Dear All,

I would be very appreciative indeed if someone could advise on a reputable glass break alarm.

I would ideally like an alarm that listens for the sound of breaking glass and then sends off a beeping like a smoke alarm.

I'd really like something that doesnt attach to the glass and basically mounts on the ceiling like a smoke alarm.

I don't need something that is part of an integrated system, I need something stand alone

Not entirely convinced such a stand alone system exists

And you must know pretty much everybody will be thinking why do you need such a system ?

They do appear to exist and to try to detect break ins. There seem to be a few on amazon im trying to advise on the market leader

Aren't they just stick on ones that detect movement?

I believe they are yes, Im actually looking for one like a smoke detector that detects the sound

They are shock sensors ....not break glass detectors ...there are plenty of professional break glass detectors for alarm systems but non have a sounder built
