If i create a spur from my cooker switch, will the cooker switch actually control the socket?

i.e. If the cooker switch is off, then no power being fed to the socket?

If the above is true, is there a way to overcome this so that the socket and cooker switch are independant?

Would connecting the wires from spur to the supply/feed terminals of cooker switch solve this?

Any reason why you don't want to add the socket to a socket circuit ?
Connecting a spur to the isolation switches load terminals would subject the sockets supply to be isolated by the switch when it's " off".
Connecting the spur to the isolation switches supply ( feed) terminals would keep the socket energised ,irrespective of the switch position.
Would a combined socket and isolation switch suit your needs ??

I'm wondering why you are thinking of doing this when it's clear you have no experience of domestic wiring.

Top man! :D

Adding this to the ring main is not possible as getting a spur from the nearest socket on the ring will involve a lot of destruction and remedial work (eg destroying tiles, drilling through many noggins, patching plasterboard etc)

In comparison, the cooker circuit is just 1m away. Not ideal, but it appears to be the simplest way

And once it's all done, I'll leave some notes/sticker on consumer unit to let other know that the one socket is on the cooker circuit ;)

I plan to stick a fridge freezer on the end of the socket so can't have people 'accidentally' switching it off

I have one of those.. But mine is nicer in my opinion (please see attached):D:D

I need to create the spur as the location of the fridge /freezer means that it won't be possible to simple plug this into the cooker switch
