The rear brakes, foot/hand, will auto adjust in the caliper if all is well there.

Handbrake cables tend to stretch from the constant tension on them so have to be adjusted to compensate for the slight increase in length. Most always, the adjuster is up by the handbrake lever although it may need a panel or two removed for access.

It DID NOT drive ok if the wheel lock up and overheat.
That scrap of a car should not be on the road as it is.
And I'm out since you think that it is ok for a wheel to lock up whilst driving.
BTW, I hope you're nowhere near west London otherwise I'm going on the bus.
Noooo, I didn't mean it was ok to drive like that. What I meant was the wheel didn't spin by hand but it drives ok meaning the wheel spins when driving. I wasn't driving it that way I immediately undid the handbrake cable so as it wouldn't lock up

Thanks, I am trying to remove centre console but something seems to be keeping it in struggling getting it off

Just joking!

We’ve seen the handbrake lever moving, we’ve seen the cable moving. You need to fit the return spring back on and show us what is happening when someone else is inside pulling the handbrake lever up and down. Can you film that?

You car is not road worthy with the hand brake disconnect, let alone very dangerous.

Andy
That is your opinion, as you can see I am. Aware it's not ideal which is why I'm here asking for help to fix it. But as I've told you all brakes pads discs and calipers are 100 percent good. The issue here is a apparent seized cable and atm I only ever park on totally level ground so I don't see any danger hazards though it could be if I wasn't aware but d I'm aware I always park flat ground in gear so it don't roll.

I am looking to see if there is a way to get you blocked from my posts, I've given you too many chances yet you constant come back to spam and bring negativity which is not welcome here.

Because the lever was siezed but now you released it the spring has a job to do.
And you cannot adjust the cable it is a set length there is a reset under the console not adjuster.
