Cracks in wall , should I be concerned before re-plastering ?

You have a practical problem, if not a structural one, if the door doesn't close. The door frame might be bearing the weight of the plaster above i.e. maybe no lintel. Whatever the cause skimming won't solve that problem. As a DIYER, I would be tempted to chop out some plaster to see what's there if it can be done safely.

yes that thought had not crossed my mind. All the windows have oak lintels so i thought maybe the internal doors did too

Can I assume the wall you are talking about is a breeze block wall?

Can you show us a pic of the ceiling directly under this wall with the cracks on? The fact you don't know that there is a lintel underneath this wall concerns me as you should be able to see it .

i don't know to be sure having never exposed them.
The last two photos are showing the underside in the downstairs hallway.It has been papered over so not showing any cracks. The first one I took going up the staircase and the second from the landing
