Check out the exposed terminal screws on the consumer unit at 2:50! o_O he doesn't seem to notice them or do anything about it. This guy and LA Sparks are the worst two electricians i know on youtube, their standard of work is just dreadful and at times dangerous too!

I like the guy.

He has to deal with some appallingly bad electrical work, these videos don't tell the whole story. The client ultimately decides what they want doing.

I commented on one video where his method of finding the corresponding neutrals of a pair of lives in a ring final was to switch off the MCB and remove the lives.
Then, with the CU main switch still on, he removed what he thought was the right pair of neutrals. When they arced on removal, he then repeatedly touched them to the neutral bar, explaining that this is how you know you've got the wrong pair.....
Anyone else would do end to end tests and look for near identical numbers.

I wonder if he didn't noticed the exposed screws on 1.22 too. I hate seeing Exposed Copper Bus Bars like that - I know it's not his work. I think he's actually a Nice bloke which is probably why he gets work, he doesn't try to bamboozle customers.

Says he didn't like the Armoured being terminated into the Plastic Rotary Isolator with the Banjo & fly lead and says he'd terminate it into a metal box - well if that's the case why leave it like that then?

Haven't seen Crabtree Metal blanks like that on 24.08 before.
 
TBH Delroy doesn't pretend to be something he isn't and the state of the installations he tends to deal with would probably give the supersparks a heart attack.

We don't know whether he mentioned the state of that consumer unit, but at the same time he's not leaving it worse than it was previously.
 
Delroy is a reasonably good electrician, with over forty years experience.

Bit surprised he didn't mention the exposed terminals - I suppose it's just possible he somehow didn't notice, or is planning to fit a new cu, or chose to ignore it if he didn't fancy ever going back.

I think for the sake of YouTube, he should have mentioned it at least.

By in large his work seems good.

Someone mentioned LA Spark - now there's a bloke who over-complicates stuff and does some weird things.
