I want to install a raised bed (one or two deck board height) at the edges of my lawn. But I want to be able to cut the lawn right up to the deck boards, using a mower.

Any gardening enthusiasts have tips to achieve that?
I was thinking of attaching a small timber to deck board, on the lawn side. And as long as it is level with the lawn. I will be able to mow over it. Does that seem like a good plan?

My flower beds, which are covered with a layer of 20mm Cotswold Stone chippings over a double layer of weed control, have a border of house bricks laid flat. I can mow right up to the edge of the lawn without picking up any of the chippings.
The boundary wire for the robotic mower is buried on the lawn side of the bricks so when Dave, (my wifes name for the robot mower), is used he can also cut right to the edge without running over the gravel.

That's the sort of setup I'm after, any chance of a picture for reference. Thanks

This one is the handiest at the moment. I have others on my external drive.
