Friend is purchasing a place with third bedroom that is cramped (box room - please see floor plan attached)
The adjacent bedroom (i.e. bedroom 2) is quite large, so they are thinking/hoping that they can move the masonry wall that separates the two rooms further along into the larger bedroom (i.e. right by the window) in order give the box room additional space
However, before embarking on this, I wanted to ask whether people commonly do this?
What things does one need to take into account when doing something like this?
Living in London, is this an expensive job
Will building control need to be notified?
We are not certain, but we are working under the assumption that the wall is load bearing
