Small exterior metal junction box?

The steel box I suggested has a threaded 20mm hole in the back. All ready for many types of conduit and their accessories.

Did a couple of conduit threads today, unfortunately on the second one my stock broke! The thread on one of the little thumb screws that keep the die in place just failed, so it won't stay screwed up properly. Now I need a new stock, but I don't think they can be bought on their own. Not my day really.

My sympathies. If what you have is a set of taps and dies, can't you re-tap the hole (probably for a larger grub screw) - or is the material too hard?

Kind Regards, John

No, I have no set unfortunately, just these ones for the 20mm and 25mm threads.

It seems that the stock retaining nut (or whatever it's called) has left some of itself on the male thread but it's more or less 'welded' on (crappy photo but see the bottom right of the thread).

My solution to finish the thread I was doing was to clamp it in place:

I just bought another die set, can't really be bothered with this, but yes, could try to source those nuts somewhere else and clean up the thread but it's more ££ either way I think.
