Focus petrol 2016 stop/start , question re: battery

Hi
Just a couple of questions about the above:
If I want to charge the battery will I have to re set after wards.
I did read online that u can reset yourself by pressing a few buttons numerous times ie rear fogs/hazzard lights. Is that possible or can u only reset using a diagnostic display?,

Are you meaning to Charge or Change the battery, Rhino?
If you are changing the battery, consider using a 'memory saver' power supply that keeps all the functions memorised.

Thanks, well suppose would be good to know for both charge and change but I presume both the same.

Point taken about memory saver, I presume that I can get from Halfords.

Also looks a bit tricky to get the battery out negative terminal positioned under the scuttle.

Good to invest in a smart charger such as a CTEK if you want to keep the battery in good nick if the car isn't being used......they can automatically adjust to whatever battery the car has.
I can't comment on the battery location but if there is no access from above, usually its positive terminal disconnected then there's enough slack on the negative cable to drag the battery forward.

I see that the mem saver plugs into cig lighter , I presume that cig lighter has to be live with ignition off?

I did worry about charging with the Jaguar XE since not being used, but used the Lidi 3.8 amp smart charger and all seems to be working as it should. On the Jaguar XE battery in the boot, but there is a jump start point under the bonnet and I connect charger to that.
